Cancellation & Refunds

If you would like a better option for making changes to your trip, be sure to select the Flexible Booking option at checkout and read the details below.

Any cancellation or booking amendments must be made to The Company’s email (reservations@castawaytours.ph)  and is thus officially received when an authorized member of The Company’s staff addresses the email.

Any cancellations or amendments made in any other form shall not be honored and cannot be presumed as accepted.

Cancellation policy is as follows:

Guest-initiated cancellations over 14 days in advance of the expedition date will be granted a full refund.

Guest-initiated cancellations within 14 days of the expedition date, no refunds will be granted.

No-shows will be charged in full and granted no refunds and no free rescheduling.

Guest-initiated amendments with more than 30 days from the expedition date will not incur any fees unless the price of the tour has changed for a different date. We cannot guarantee the granting of amendments. Any request to amend a booking once confirmed shall be accommodated if at all possible, subject to availability

Castaway will not be held liable for any financial burdens incurred from a guest-initiated amendment or cancellation.

Cancellation charges shall be levied on other products booked through The Company in accordance with the terms & conditions of the provider of the other product.

In the event of a “no show”, the booking shall be treated as complete, and no refunds shall be granted.

Unannounced absence from the mandatory briefing is considered a “no show” as the briefing is a critical part of the expedition. If a paid and confirmed guest is absent from their scheduled briefing, but still wishes to join the scheduled expedition an emergency briefing may be possible, availability and time permitting. Emergency briefings will incur inconvenience costs to be paid to The Company by the guest.

In the event a guest/group cannot go on the trip, that guest may not transfer the booking to another person/group. Each person/group must book and pay for their own booking.

Any guest spots that are unannounced “no shows” will be subject to be given to individuals on a waiting list.

No refunds shall be given:

• 1. For lost travel time or necessary substitution of facilities, especially by virtue of force majeure
• 2. For expeditions and tours necessarily amended after departure, especially by virtue of force majeure.
• 3. For circumstances beyond The Company’s control which necessitate alternative arrangements being made to ensure safety and/or further participation or enjoyment.
• 4. If the guest does not appear for any accommodation, service or excursion without officially notifying The Company in received email.
• 5. If the guest leaves during the trip or abandons any portion.

Flexible Booking option:

• With the purchase out Flexible Booking option (available on the checkout page for an additional – 2500php), your reservation may be amended up to 48 hours prior to the expedition date, availability permitting.

• If you fall ill on the day of departure and can present a valid doctor’s note, you may rebook your expedition free of charge.

• Cancellation made up to 3 days prior to the expedition date will be granted a 50% refund.
